My name is Alan and I am the proud owner of two Golden Labradors, Dusty and Spike. I got the dogs together when they were both puppies and at the time they were both very playful and sometimes badly behaved. However, as they got older it became obvious that Spike’s behavior was not just down to puppy playfulness.

Spike would constantly be trying to get my attention whenever we were together. This usually involved him barking continuously. This could sometimes be quite loud and I used to worry that he would be disturbing the neighbors.

He also showed some aggressive behavior towards Dusty. If I was giving her a fuss, then he would growl at her. The thing that I was probably most worried about was that one day he would try to physically attack her.

I couldn’t understand how the two dogs were so completely different when they had both been treated exactly the same since the day I bought them home. I spoke to my vet about my concerns over Spike’s behavior but she did not seem to think it was too much of an issue.

However, I continued to worry about what would happen if Spike became too aggressive and thought that the best course of action would be to try and do something about the problem before it became too bad.

I was already a member of some forums for dog owners and so decided to ask for some advice on here. There were quite a few people that suggested that training for Spike may be the answer.

In some ways this did make sense to me, but I still had a few concerns. Firstly, I was worried that any training would involve having to punish Spike which I didn’t like the idea of. There were also no classes locally to me and so attending a class in person was not really an option.

Some of the replies that I got to the questions I was asking on forums suggested looking at Adrienne Farricelli’s Brain Training for Dogs. I was a bit skeptical of this at first because I was worried that it was just another online scam. However, at this point I felt as if I was almost out of options and so it didn’t seem as if I had a lot to lose by doing some more research into the project.

The program seemed to be receiving a lot of positive reviews online, and there were a lot of people who shared the opinion that this had worked for their dogs when nothing else had been successful. I felt that it was also very reasonably priced and so I decided that I would give it a try. I will share my personal experience of using the program in the review below.

What Is Brain Training For Dogs About?

One of the things that I liked most about Brain Training For Dogs is that it uses positive reinforcement. This means that the dogs are rewarded for good behavior rather than being punished when they do something wrong. This was something that was important to me as I felt that me and Spike still had a good relationship and I didn’t want anything to jeopardize that.

The program has been devised by Adrienne Farricelli, a dog trainer with over ten years of experience within the industry. She has used the things she has learned about dogs over this period, along with extensive research to put this program together.

Another benefit of the program is that all the information you need is online. As soon as I had paid for the program I was given the details that I needed to be able to log in to the site.

The program is divided into different sections which makes everything much easier to follow. These are the menus that you will find when you are in the members area:

  • Dog Training and Courses
  • Puppy Training
  • Behaviour Problems
  • Adrienne’s Archives
  • Case Studies
  • Forum

Dog Training And Courses

This is where you will find the introduction to the whole program and more information about Adrienne herself. It explains about the activities that you can do with your dogs in order to train their brains.

Inside this broad category, there are a lot of smaller sub-categories. The articles inside these categories have a lot of images alongside them to make the instructions clearer. A lot of images feature Adrienne’s dog Einstein.

The interface of the website is very easy to navigate and so it is easy to find exactly what you are looking for. There is also a search option on the website so you can enter a specific phrase that you are looking for.

Puppy Training

If you have your dog from when they are a puppy, then you can begin to train them from a very young age. This can help to prevent any problems when the dogs are older. I wish that I had known about this program when Spike was a puppy as it would have helped a lot with all the behavior issues that I was dealing with when I purchased this program.

This section will also be useful if you are thinking of adopting a puppy in the future and want to do everything you can to make sure that you are prepared for their arrival and the challenges that you may face.

Adrienne explains that puppies need different types of training during the different stages of their development. This is really useful because it allows you to tailor your training to the age of your puppy.

Behavior Problems

This was the section that I was most interested in because it was the whole reason that I purchased the program in the first place. I was not disappointed with the content that I found in this section.

There are different categories for every type of behavioral problem that you may be experiencing with your dog. There are at least ten articles in each of these categories which ensures that you are getting a lot of information about why your dog is behaving in a certain way and what you can do to try and correct these problems.

The way that the site is set out means that you can select a specific problem from the menu and then browse through the articles on that subject. You may also want to have a general read through of all the different sections so you are prepared for any problem you may encounter. The articles are detailed but easy to understand so you will not feel too overwhelmed with information.

Adrienne’s Archive

As a bonus when you purchase this program, you are also given access to Adrienne’s archive. This section contains both videos and articles on some of the problems that seem to affect dogs most often.

This is a very useful resource and this section of the members site is being updated all the time. This means that you will get brand new content without having to pay an additional fee.

Case Studies

Adrienne Farricelli has trained thousands of dogs during her career but there are always certain dogs that seem to stand out from the rest. In this section, Adrienne tells the story of two of these dogs – Sadie and Maggie.

Sadie used to be a therapy and service dog but she ended up in a rescue center and this is when she started working with Adrienne. The problems that she had included possessiveness and whining. She would also stand next to the door for hours and refuse to move away.

Maggie’s issue was that she would always jump up people whenever they were near her. She would do this to both people she knew and strangers. Adrienne was able to train both dogs to stop behaving in this way and a detailed account of how she did this is given in these case studies.

When you are a dog owner it can be really reassuring to know that there are other dog lovers out there that you can talk to and ask for advice.

As a member of the Brain Training For Dogs program you have access to the forum where you can speak to other people that have also purchased the program. I was a member of other dog forums but I felt that this was the one that benefited me the most because I was able to connect with other people that were on the same journey as I was with Spike. These people knew what training Spike entailed and there was always someone on hand to answer any questions or provide reassurance whenever I needed it.

Adrienne herself is also active on this forum and she answers as many questions as she can from users of the program.

Who Can Benefit From The Brain Training For Dogs Program?

If you are struggling with the behavior of your dog, then I will have no doubt that you will benefit from the techniques that this program can teach you. However, you do need to bear in mind that you will have to put the hard work in when it comes to training your dog. Things will not happen overnight, but you will soon see the difference with a little bit of patience and dedication.

If you do not have the time to take your dog to a class that is led by a dog trainer, then you are going to find this program very useful. It shows you everything you need to know about how to train your dog, and you can complete this training in familiar surroundings which will make the process a lot easier for both you and your dog.

How Does Brain Training For Dogs Actually Work?

The myth that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks is certainly disproved by this program. The methods that are taught her can be used on dogs of any age and with some hard work from both parties the behavior of your dog will change for the better.

The key to the techniques that Adrienne teaches is building the relationship between you and your dog so that you have their trust. This is achieved through positive reinforcement, which means that your dog will be praised when they behave the way you want them to. After a while it will be second nature to them to follow your commands and this makes it easier for you to stop them behaving in a way you don’t want them to.

How Effective Is Brain Training For Dogs?

Speaking from my own experience I would say that this program is very effective. I originally purchased it as a way to help me deal with Spike’s behavior, but I also feel that Dusty has benefited from it as well. It has given me a better understanding of how her mind is working and this has helped me connect with her on a whole different level.

The way Adrienne has organized the information means that it is easy to find the advice that you need. The way she comes across in the videos shows that she really loves dogs and her manner is very personable.

Final Thoughts

I am so glad that I decided to take the chance with this program as it has made all of our lives so much better. I do not get so stressed now about Spike’s behavior because I know that I can deal with any problem that arises. I also think that because he senses I am happier that this improves his state of mind as well. He is so much calmer than he used to be and I don’t think we would have been able to achieve this without the advice from this program.

The money back guarantee means that you really have nothing to lose by trying Brain Training For Dogs out. I have every confidence that it will be the best choice you could make if you have any concerns over the behavior of your dogs.
